Foolishness

Why is it
That people expect you to be perfect?
That people think a little mistake is just as bad as death?
That inflicting pain upon others is hilarious?

I try escaping
I do not succeed
Instead
I am question by many surrounding me

This endless war is stupid
Stupid it is
We all tear eachother down
Just to get to the top of a goal that has no existence

All these tears that've been shed
Are meaningless to you
Even when you're the one who is shedding tears
To you, tears of nothingness

Why won't this battle end?
Why won't this war end?
Why won't this sad melody end?
It's because of our foolishness

Even if we make mistakes
They do not forgive
Even if we accidentally do the wrong
They will not forgive

No, they will not forgive
No, they won't at all forgive
Such foolishness is inhumane
Such torture will get us all nowhere

All these scars I've had to bare
All these wounds inflicted on me
All opening wider, wider
All invisibly bleeding

So, why do we all continue?
Why must we all do this to others?
Because we are all foolish in our own ways
Because we don't know between right and wrong

Not only me
But everyone around me
It's happening anywhere
Everywhere

We all unintentionally hurt others
We all sometimes forget to forgive and move on
So, I must agree
We are all somewhat foolish
